But I find their wings offensive. No wings should be breaded. Just sauced, fried, and sauced again. I know you can order them "naked," but at Hooter's those are always dried out and awful.
Also, whenever I've left there, I've felt jittery from the amount of sodium I consumed. The whole menu is a fat-and-salt festival, washed down by watery beer. Again, it's a free country--but not that appealing to me.
Not to be a prude or anything, but if there was a vegetable on the menu I might go back.

I'll eat there when they hire sexy male waiters who wear tight satin banana hammocks that I can ogle and make comments about when they walk away.
THAT's what's sexist about it.
DUH.

I'll go when they hire a bunch of men dressed in tuxes, reading poetry, and staring at us with smoldering longing glances, through their long dark hair. Of course, the sighs and smiles from all the women will probably make any normal guys with us pretty uncomfortable. They'll also get depressed that no woman is paying attention to them and start wondering if they should learn to play the violin and wear something other than an oversize t shirt.

I can name another ten without even thinking very hard and not repeat a single one the other poster listed. And considering DC is under 70 sq miles that's a hell of a lot of chains for such a small area. Why are they all packed in there like that?? Of course the surrounding states do. They're way bigger.

Chains at the bottom of the bunch.

You went from DC not having many chains to you preferring other restaurants over them. Good for you and everyone that feels as you do. I happen to be one of them. I'm still not dumb enough to go around acting like DC doesn't have a ton packed into such a small area. It's ok not to be snobby about it.
