Their waitresses are not that hot. Some are even kind of fat. I was surprised. The Rockville one has better looking women. I'm a woman and it's amusing for me to compare. I don't take offense about the concept of Hooters. Sexualized women to sell is so common I'm numb to it. There are other more offensive things in life to complain about than Hooters.

I like their crab legs and some of their other food and I don't mind the women there, it's just kind of funny to me (I'm a woman) that it's supposed to be appealing to men. Women are sexualized on tv all the time. What's the big deal to see them like that at a restaurant.

My roommate in college worked at one. When she started there, she was asked what size uniform she wore. She asked for medium shorts. The manager said she could choose from small or extra small, if she needed a medium she could not work there.

I've never eaten there, nor can I really imagine myself eating there. It's existence in 2013 is kind of deplorable (can you imagine a parallel restaurant named with some kind of juvenile nickname featuring only African-American servers dressed in a costume meant to be sexy?).

I wouldn't go there. Well, if I were with a group of 20 and everyone else wanted to go, possibly I would; but I'd feel very uncomfortable. Partly because I think it's sexist and partly because I'd be afraid that anyone I was with would stare at my own quite large breasts and wonder if I should be waitressing there, too. Frankly, I don't see the appeal of staring at various body parts, male or female, during a meal. Which is why I have no interest in male strippers, either. Obviously others feel differently as these places are quite popular!

No, I wouldn't go there. The "suntan" shiny pantyhose and scrunchy socks would make me want to puke.

You went from DC not having many chains to you preferring other restaurants over them. Good for you and everyone that feels as you do. I happen to be one of them. I'm still not dumb enough to go around acting like DC doesn't have a ton packed into such a small area. It's ok not to be snobby about it.

What's snobby about it? It's just that they are THERE, right out the door. Without a car. Some of the non-chain dives I go to in DC are certainly not in competition with Macaroni Grill. Macaroni Grill would be better, but it would be a hassle to get there.
