I have zero shares, barely managed this year after my DH had a long term layoff. Eff off.
Sounds like you and DH need to be smarter and adapt better!
Sounds like you need to not be an arrogant pig and realize that not everyone has had the same life experiences as you and some things are not in your control. NP.
+1 What an ignorant prick.
I'm OP: I moved to this country with no family, no connections, and just one suitcase. I got a scholarship to a good school because I worked hard. I worked non-stop throughout college while my parents were divorced, mother SAHM and my father is an alcoholic who abused me. The UMC white kids at my school partied and never worked the work I did. It paid off and now I'm supposed to feel pity for some random person who's jealous of hard work? This is what America was made on and I will always remain grateful for this country that lifted my family out of GENERATIONAL poverty at the likes an American cannot comprehend.
I'm so sorry everyone. I meant to write PP not OP. I derailed the thread.
You’re definitely not the OP. I am the OP! DH and I are white / Caucasian, BTW, and we live in the DMV area – he works remotely for SpaceX with a focus on Gov Affairs. DH started at a pretty entry level in 2021 in BD and USG account management and spent 2-3 years as a grinder before moving up in the ranks. His most recent equity refresh was a couple of months ago and was for 60,000 shares, none of which has vested yet. People keep referencing these silly articles about the hundreds of employees that are worth $100M+ and the 4400+ that are millionaires, but this is mostly unvalidated speculation and includes unvested equity. Truth is that a bunch of employees sold their shares internally or timed out on stock options. Those with RSUs still need to be vested and are outside the lockout period to sell. Anyway, by DCUM accounting rules, I guess we should include everything that has been granted, so today those SPCX shares are valued at $45M. Not bad considering we’re only in our mid 30s.
OMG doesn’t your DH have clearance? Delete this post maybe whole thread ASAP.
