To be honest, I’m still friends with someone who sexually assaulted me years ago in college. I didn’t want to blow up our friend circle at the time, it was a one-time incident, and now it’s been 15 years and I’ve gotten over it. We see each other once a year-ish if our friend group gets together and he’s gone out of his way to help me later in life. Doesn’t make up for it, but I’m just saying the choice to report is really complicated. [/quote]
