Congressional was the new money club in the area. Looked down upon by the members of Chevy Chase and Columbia. Now, Congressional is seen as a top club. Potomac was not a tough school to get into back then. Sidwell (once Chelsea went there) and the Cathedral schools were the places to be if you cared about that stuff. [/quote]

I think you are right in a way, but also it sounds like Congressional came up where as it seems Potomac is slipping and the parents are trying to cling to the history of once being in Kalorama while the school pumps up admissions stats by casting a wide net with their bussing push...[/quote]
