It's mostly good except those two wasted off days.

The first such day is September 11 which is soon after Labor Day. The other day April 21 is a Wednesday so no long weekend there.[/quote]

Apparently they are making some changes to the calendar they approved last month. Sept 11 is now a school day, and the April 21 non instructional day moves to the 22nd.

But why? Isn't it an evening holiday? Are there really that many staff who will miss that school day because of this holiday? Give a couple of days between each quarter, a winter and spring break, and get rid of all these other "holi"days. [/quote]
