It's mostly good except those two wasted off days.

The first such day is September 11 which is soon after Labor Day. The other day April 21 is a Wednesday so no long weekend there.[/quote]

Apparently they are making some changes to the calendar they approved last month. Sept 11 is now a school day, and the April 21 non instructional day moves to the 22nd.

Diwali[/quote] It looks like the gain from September 11 becoming a regular school day has been canceled out with Diwali replacing Rosh Hashana in the "Why is school closed for a holiday that is actually on a weekend?" Diwali is November 8 https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/diwali

They should use this day either on the day after President's Day or April 23. Spring break is the only thing after winter break that is longer than a 3-day weekend.[/quote]
