It seems to have become a thing with social media. The alt right troll-ization of the right. Why is it so important to conservative identity?
Didn't read the thread. The Democrats look down on Republicans, and the Republicans can't stand the Democrats' disdain for them. It infuriates the Republicans because they can't escape from it. They have to "own the libs" because they feel belittled by liberals. It's the only way they know to regain their self-esteem. I am a liberal Democrat (actually, I'm a Social Democrat), and I loathe the Republicans in Congress, who are spineless toadies to Trump and the Federalist Society's vision for America. I have utter contempt for them. If the Republicans want to make themselves feel better by "owning" me and my ilk, I can't stop them. I find them even more pathetic. They're incapable of building anything. All they do is tear things down. That's why I can't respect them. They are contemptible, as is their demented, overgrown baby tyrant. They will never gain my respect no matter what they do.
