They do it because they are hungry and it’s a field with low standards and a stable paycheck.  I think that it’s good.  People with empathy for the community will have higher moral and ethical standards for their own behavior than the racist ICE proud boy types that are in it for the cruelty.  Hispanic agents will also be much more likely to side with justice if push comes to shove.

You think Hispanics are not racist? How many do you know IRL? If you've traveled to Spanish-speaking countries or know people from a range of Latin countries, you will soon discover that many display anti-indigenous racism, anti-Black racism, and colorism (the favoring of lighter-skinned individuals over darker-skinned ones). And there is strong classism as well. They also discriminate based on the country someone is from and even the region within the same country. And since they are not always as PC as Americans, you will hear shocking things said casually by one Hispanic about another one (like calling someone a "cholo.") I don't believe for a moment that Hispanic border patrol and ICE are nicer to other Hispanics than a redneck White would be. [/quote]
