No clue why Potomac isn’t doing that either. When we played their 2013G 1st team. We could see there is a good amount of talent on that team. But there were maybe a few that struggled. I’m hearing that team isn’t being mandated to try out . 🤔🤔 Wierd that they’re doing it that way … also .. heard the rumor that their current coach won’t be their coach anymore. They’re getting a former coach from BSA that left a few years ago . 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. [/quote]

It's not that they don't have to re-try out - it's that current players are/have been assessed all year long. No one on the current team is guaranteed a spot on next year's teams. My understanding is current players will (or will not) receive offers for next year for whichever team they are assessed to be the best fit on and that may or may not be their current team. [/quote]

That may be, buts it’s always good for everyone to see everyone. You want to see what the skill level of the team you are trying out for is, and the current players should be looked at in context of potential new players. [/quote]
