A serious suggestion: for MCPS residents, the school offices are open today, call and make an appointment to talk with the Principal or your grade level admin about what it would be like to transfer. We were at SSFS in the past as well as another private school. Switching to MCPS has been great for our kids. The academics and support have been much stronger, the resources more extensive, and it is a relief to work with educational professionals.
How were the supports stronger? We’re not at SSFS but kid in 7th at a different private and the small class sizes have been amazing for her ( ADHD) my concerns at mcps are larger classes and kids with more SN, overwhelmed teachers?
