On a separate note, there was a lot of publicity about 3 (?) raids looking for a few specific people - and apparently one arrest came of this.  This person reportedly was convicted of sexual battery in the past, and deported twice previously.  There is a local nonprofit that posts bonds, and lobbies hard currently to cease any and all cooperation with immigration services - even in cases like this.   If you voted in the local elections, do you really agree with this, and if so, why?  And if not, how can we tell the local government (they don’t seem to be perceptive, or worried about losing votes)?[/quote]
