Did not like that not all freshmen live on campus. This was important coming from oos that all freshman would have a somewhat similar experience, but when dealing with schools who have a substantial amount of people off campus, that doesn't happen (also a problem at UT Austin).

Did not like that a lot of the classes at UF were online especially in early years.  Maybe that has changed.

I am convinced that she would have been happy at UF. But if you are getting to pick between multiple good options, this one just wasn't the top.

I do think UF is better for pre-med than schools that don't have a local med school.  The research, teaching, shadowing opportunities much better in an environmen like that.

UF has a lot of school spirit and traditions. The whole homecoming thing at UF seemed really fun.

She was completely unfamiliar with UF Rush and had no contacts at all, versus she had many contacts at UGA.  This was not the main factor, but as it turned out, rush went very well at UGA and maybe would have been difficult at UF.   Before anyone criticizes, this is not why she chose UGA, but if you are asking for things that went through the mind, this is one....and being able to find a group (whatever that group is) does relate to your overall experience at a college when you are going somewhere that you know no one.

UF has a very nice campus.

You can't go wrong.  These are some of the considerations that were discussed in our house. we discussed.[/quote]
