Too early to predict (and this thread has been going for days!). Per CWG: Wednesday into Thursday. There’s potential for a major storm, but confidence in how much accumulation we see in the D.C. area is still low as the storm track remains uncertain. Highs both days in the upper 20s to mid-30s. Confidence: Low Snow potential index — 6/10 (↑): Chance of snow Wednesday-Thursday has climbed above 50/50. Still hard to say whether the storm will be memorable, middling or a miss.
I don't see accumulation totals mattering on this storm except for whether the kids will be back for Friday or night. Right now models have snow beginning in the morning on Wednesday and snow falling on Thursday am, too. We will likely be full days off both days, since the ground and air temperatures will be cold enough for it to stick immediately. If we get alot of snow Friday will be off. If we get a little, we will be back in the buildings on Friday.
