The Torres blackface controversy is pretty bad. There are two different rumors about camps dropping opp research (including the Demi Moore kissing one before the Globes) on the competition: one claims Netflix is behind it, one claims Erivo's camp is behind it. I think either could be true, but Erivo seems more likely if we're talking about Best Actress. Gascon isn't seen as a likely winner, but Torres and Moore sure are. If their reputations are dented, helps Erivo and Madison the most. Madison is so young, and wisely has no socials, so there's probably no dirt to be had on her.[/quote]

I found Emilia Perez to be unwatchable.  I liked Zoe Saldano's commitment to her role, but the movie is just indulgent crap that most Mexicans find deeply offensive.

Now Gascon has come out saying Torres's camp is behind attacks on her / EP. After that, Gascon's islamophobic tweets were dredged up. It's getting very ugly.[/quote]
