This. I did appreciate messages, but I certainly don't expect flowers or meals. Meals you do for a widow or when a family with young kids or even teens loses a parent. You also do it if there is financial hardship. [/quote]

Meant to add I think also for some of us it is a process that lasts even over a decade of illness, decline, and just complete burnout trying to manage it all. My friends supported me the best they could through all of that so at the end I certainly didn't expect meals or at the end it was such a relief to see there was no more suffering and decline.[/quote]
