We were informed last night that the decision has been made. Apparently, stakeholder input is irrelevant to FCPS. The rumor is that it will go to Lemon Road, but I have also heard Westgate mentioned. They basically sold out our kids to buy extra spaces (and parent assent at Haycock). To the base school parents' credit, they were skeptical. I think FCPS is lying to the Haycock base parents and the Haycock AAP parents from cluster 2. People are upset about the way this is being handled. I don't think anyone is going to make any of this easy for FCPS.
You may have seen, or been referred to, this policy already, but you might want to take a look. It may give you some idea as to how many kids FCPS might try to move out of the current Haycock AAP center without providing for much "stakeholder input." It seems like if the percentage of students being moved out of Haycock, or to another school, was more than 15%, there would need to be some process for the affected school communities to express their views. http://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/fairfax/Board.nsf/files/8J3KBE4FC2C0/$file/R3333.pdf
