I’m on an island in the Mediterranean and had the breakfast buffet. Potatoes, bacon, tomato, large slice of baguette with butter and honey. Also double espresso and later tea. I’ve had this similar breakfast for the last five days. I’m loving it.
I am envious of your location, but not your breakfast!
Well, they do cater a bit more to the British crowd. Ideally, I would love the Italian breakfast with more salami, prosciutto, and bread. I am not sure what you dislike about my breakfasts, though. I am in heaven with the breakfast; it is the highlight of my day.
At breakfast? This sounds like a German's idea of an Italian breakfast.
Yes, it is very common in Italy to have a lot of cold cuts, prosciutto, hams, salamis, and good bread, and you make open-face sandwiches. Additionally many pastries will be offered. Have you never been to Italy or Europe to see what makes a good breakfast buffer? Fruit is offered too.
I tried to steer clear of breakfast buffet hotels. In Italy, I was a coffee and roll with jam breakfaster -- when in Rome and all that
