This post feels like a DCUM-manufactured post.  I don't know anyone who was handwringing over a 6th grader wearing light makeup in real life.  And I never met a 6th grader wearing this heavy makeup that's described.[/quote]

Totally agree. This is a silly troll. I have seen boatloads of sixth grade, middle school girls. None of them look like they have too much makeup on. But yes, by the end of 6th, a number of them were wearing some sort of light makeup. In seventh, they step it up a bit. And the eighth graders are wearing the same makeup as high school girls. But the vast majority of them still look perfectly lovely even in high school. The gift of YouTube means they are a millions times better at putting on makeup as teens than any of us were in the 80s or 90s. And current makeup looks are not particularly outrageous. Some day, I’m sure they will all start wearing dayglo electric eye shadow, but virtually no middle or high school girl is doing that right now. A light glittery eye shadow is about as “wild” as I’ve seen.[/quote]
