Where is everyone feeling the sting of the budget cuts. Our school doesn’t have tissues and won’t have copy paper until at least next week
There's been so much waste these past few years that it should have almost no impact. Sure, they may have to have a few less comms firms or special audits done but not like that ever really helped anything.
Its time to hold MCPS and the BOE accountable.
Who could do this, the state? The county council? A class-action law-suit? Its clear the voter won't do it. In fact, things are about to go from bad to worse when Stewart and Zim join Harris on the board. They are going to double down on costly far left insanity that only makes things worse.
In theory, the county council could, but they will not, so parents need to start protesting and being vocal about their concerns and hold them accountable. Their handbook: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/siteassets/district/boe/about/0162.22_2021_boe_handbook.pdf "Removal of Board Member Pursuant to statute, the Montgomery County Council may remove a Board member for immorality, misconduct in office, incompetence, or willful neglect of duty. The member may request a hearing and have an opportunity to be heard publicly before the Montgomery County Council. The member also has the right to a de novo review of the removal by the Circuit Court of Montgomery County. Legal Reference: Section 3-901, Education Article, Annotated Code of Maryland" The president of the BOE is the biggest problem and there is a huge conflict of interest with her working for MC and MCPS paying MC for a lot of classes/services for HS students.
Besides the fact that dual enrollment is popular, how exactly do you think she's able to use the BoE position for her own benefit?
Her position is to work with MCPS to have offerings to MCPS students. That is a conflict of interest.
You don't seem to understand her position in Montgomery College. Regardless, you never explained how she would benefit. You realize she doesn't get a commission, right?
