I was irritated at one of the moms that organized a team snack for baseball one season. My kid didn't need junk after the game. It was also one extra thing I had to do to get snacks for the team- I felt like you'd look like a jerk if you didn't sign up. Please don't organize these!! Plenty of parents don't want this
In no way are “plenty” of parents on your side of this argument. I mean, you are welcome to your opinion but unless you have done a poll across multiple sports and multiple age groups, don’t overstate please.
Count me in on not wanting to do snacks! Hockey is fantastic for that. The only time there might be a snack after is if it’s a child’s birthday. Once other sports’ teams switched to no snacks with my older kids, I got annoyed by them for my youngest. I now take my time looking at the sign up sheet and sometimes get lucky and have all slots full. When I do have to sign up, I buy a Costco box of kids’ cliff bars and Veggie Straws and use my kids’ least favorite kind.
