You also don't know how you'll react until it happens.  I once had my wallet stolen at Union Station.  I chased the guy down and made a big scene confronting him  and there happened to be a Metro policeman who heard and who came running. The thief handed me my wallet back and ran. The thief wasn't brandishing a gun, and I probably wouldn't have done it if he was, but the point is that I didn't think about it, I just did it.  I thought the cop was going to scold me, but he said "Good for you! I wish more people would stick up for themselves."  [b]Of course, today I'd probably be prosecuted for theft for getting my own wallet back.[/b] [/quote]
