You clearly do not have a student at Penn. We know many and have an upperclassman there. It is not cutthroat. They have never met anyone as these posts describe. It is stressful but their Stanford and Northwestern and Princeton friends from their HS report the same. Classes push them. They are all sci or engineering or CS and it’s hard at all these schools, but that is very different from cutthroat come on. [/quote]
