And, yet, it was good guys who tackled the shooter in this instance.

Face it..... there are bad people in this world.  They will find a way to carry out their evil ways be it with a gun, a knife, or a truck.

Good guys WITHOUT guns tackled the shooter.  In that crowd, there were probably plenty of "good guys with guns" with pistols in their purses or strapped to their ankles or tucked in their asscracks or wherever else yet not a single one of them stepped up.   That "good guys with guns" crap about deterring crime is a total myth that's been sold by the NRA for far too long.[/quote]

In fairness to the good guys with guns (but underscoring the ridiculousness of the "good guys with guns" argument), shooting at the bad guys probably would have caused a lot more collateral damage than tackling the bad guy. [/quote]
