Everywhere else, workers buy lunch and spend their money nearer to where they live and it ends up being a wash as far as the tax base is concerned. DC doesn't capture most of those taxes because most feds with families can't afford to live in DC. The bigger problem is CRE which has nothing to do with the federal work force because the GSA doesn't pay taxes [/quote]
