Without "Karens" and "Kens", your kid's cheap rec sport wouldn't have gym doors unlocked, a practice schedule, volunteer coaches, clocks brought to gyms at 8 am on Sat and picked back up at 8 pm on Sat, and etc etc etc. Dealing with FCPS on gym issues is a hassle. You have to fight to get enough permits for the number of kids in your program. They close abruptly without notice, they don't unlock when they are supposed to, you can't find the custodians (they often sneak out of the building on weekends). If you have never volunteered, you have no idea how aggravating it is.  [/quote]
