PTAC. The absolute worst of the worst are/have been involved in this group. PTAC does absolutely nothing for parents and teachers except gaslight them.

Our east side elementary school's current PTAC rep was desperately trying to get her kid into private school to avoid GW but if anyone criticizes ACPS she gets mean. [/quote]

Say what you will about PTAC, but I thought the forum was informative and the questions were good.  It was a much-needed opportunity to hear from both candidates. I actually came away feeling fine about each of them.

Beaty definitely came across as more polished and prepared.  I do like the fact that he speaks Spanish and has a clear commitment to  the immigrant community. I was a little skeptical of his candidacy, but I don’t think he’s a bad choice overall. And I appreciate that he worked as a substitute teacher for several years after retiring![/quote]
