Did this happen recently? In the past 5-10 years? I've heard this story referenced so often without any clarification, I feel it is urban legend.
NP here. This happened. The woman lives near me, the school was Brooks (then Maury). Basically what happened was one of her kids got upset that another kid on the playground said something rude about the mother's weight and so the son punched the other kid. That afternoon I guess the kid came home and told his mother what he had done in her honor and she posted about it on FB how proud she was of her son. I think someone printed out that post and took a hard copy to the school. PTAC lady is a lawyer, she should have known better. She is also totally nuts and still around, so be careful out there.
This. But you are leaving out the huge part. She was BANNED from Maury campus because of that post celebrating/advocationg violence against an 8 or 9 year old kid. Think about that. She was so batsh*t crazy that the school banned her.
She is persona non grata in the neighborhood. I'm actually surprised she hasn't moved.
Lots of stories about her on various threads.
Can we get back to the topic at hand (i.e., the school board member who resigned and the election tomorrow to fill that seat)?

PTAC. The absolute worst of the worst are/have been involved in this group. PTAC does absolutely nothing for parents and teachers except gaslight them.
Our east side elementary school's current PTAC rep was desperately trying to get her kid into private school to avoid GW but if anyone criticizes ACPS she gets mean.
