Not OP, but if this is true she really *should* care. About Taylor, of course, because Taylor is far and away at the top of the music industry ATM. But even if not Taylor, she should care about SZA, Karol G, Lana Del Rey, Shakira, etc, because right now Beyonce is flopping hard and it truly seems the only people listening to her are Gen Xers or elder millennials like yourself with outdated lingo, who don't have any knowledge of what's hip or what's current and are certainly not going to be tastemakers shaping what goes viral on tiktok or anything like that. She didn't even crack the TOP 20 of Spotify's female artists (not even all artists, which is mostly male dominated, but the female artist category). Contrast that to Rihanna who hasn't released an album in years and still gets a lot of play. Now her movie completely flopped. Spin it any way you want to, but it definitely doesn't look good for Beyonce. Her career has been mainly propped up by PR, but the fact is there isn't interest from the public or enough catchy music to back it up. Reminds me of Justin Timberlake a few years ago and look what happened to him
You seem very young and immature if you think that only the top 20 artists at any given moment of time mean anything. Why should she care? She has self esteem and is confident and has a vision for who she is as an artist and she has so much money from her extensive commercial success that she does not anyone to buy a single additional album from her. Why would she compromise herself to meet your measure of success? Why should I care about what you think about my interests for that matter? Beyonce is 42 years old, she is never going to be the next young hot thing anymore. She is an artist who makes music that she finds inspiring and meaningful. You seem to be saying that if you can't be the absolute best of the best by spotify standards you should consider yourself a failure. Well young one, and I am a ripe old 38 here haha, I feel like perhaps you should look past the buzzfeed top 10 lists. There is a lot of beauty to be found in the world around you, sometimes it hasn't even been ranked and packaged to you and you just stumble upon it. Although this is all kind of a weird take about a woman who just had the best selling female artist tour in the world until yes, Taylor broke her record. Her movie is number one in the US this weekend. Beyonce increased her net worth by 20% this year to about a half a billion dollars. Renaissance debuted #1 on the billboard charts and sold a million copies. If this is your definition of a flop then I'll take being a flop any day of the week haha.

+1,000,000 preach sister! I’ll add that beauty and popularity/ monetary value are not the same thing. And one of the reasons Why so many people feel empty/ anxiety is because they think beauty and popularity are the same.
LOL.. I was reading the quoted message and was thinking "AMEN!!"
