Not OP, but if this is true she really *should* care. About Taylor, of course, because Taylor is far and away at the top of the music industry ATM. But even if not Taylor, she should care about SZA, Karol G, Lana Del Rey, Shakira, etc, because right now Beyonce is flopping hard and it truly seems the only people listening to her are Gen Xers or elder millennials like yourself with outdated lingo, who don't have any knowledge of what's hip or what's current and are certainly not going to be tastemakers shaping what goes viral on tiktok or anything like that. She didn't even crack the TOP 20 of Spotify's female artists (not even all artists, which is mostly male dominated, but the female artist category). Contrast that to Rihanna who hasn't released an album in years and still gets a lot of play. Now her movie completely flopped. Spin it any way you want to, but it definitely doesn't look good for Beyonce. Her career has been mainly propped up by PR, but the fact is there isn't interest from the public or enough catchy music to back it up. Reminds me of Justin Timberlake a few years ago and look what happened to him

I’ll add that beauty and popularity/ monetary value are not the same thing. And one of the reasons Why so many people feel empty/ anxiety is because they think beauty and popularity are the same.

I’m good thanks!

Concert films have existed for decades. That's not what people are talking about. Taylor film bypassed the studios. Her team produced it and made a direct deal with AMC Theaters rather than using a studio for distribution, thus retaining a higher percentage of the take. Beyonce's team did the same thing.
THAT was the innovation.
Well that’s an even dumber point then. You think a non-lawyer is “structuring AMC deals?” How does that translate to Beyonce, the individual, copying Taylor, the individual?
Did I say either artist negotiated it? I specifically referred to their teams and didn't credit them personally. Reading is not your strong suit, I see.
So gallant of the billionaire taking a higher percentage of her fans money. Always thinking of her fans that Taylor Swift. She is a role model for all young women!
No, it's more like thinking of how middle men taking cuts of the creative work of others is taking money from the actual artists. And Beyonce agrees with her, btw. They are both role models, because they are both aware that owning their own work is important.
See here is what her fans are failing to understand: Taylor is no longer David, she is Goliath. She IS the evil corporation taking all the money. She is a billionaire. She has amassed money for her. She is lord business with a few catchy songs.
What? So she is taking the money that she earned. The horror!! How DARE she not turn it over to Scooter Braun or the private equity group that purchased her catalog. How DARE Beyonce start her own record label, so she can own a greater piece of the pie? I mean, if we are doing the comparison thing, you do realize that Beyonce is more of a corporation here, right? She actually founded Parkwood Entertainment. And GOOD FOR HER![/]
Geez. They are both millionaires/billionaires with lots of business people to run their millions. Taylor changing the pricing structure of her movie tickets is just one corporation manipulating another. It isn’t a commentary of feminism or a small company or woman getting power over a big bad movie company. Taylor’s revenues and career comeback depend on people believing that she fighting for women’s/anti corporation rights. In reality she is just another (albeit well branded) corporation fighting for your money. That is why she fought to make her own movie/structure the deal that way. Why does she need more of her fans money when she is a billionaire?
To be clear I’m not saying Beyoncé isn’t greedy as well, but her fans aren’t as deluded as Taylor’s.
Geez yourself. Why shouldn't both Beyonce and Taylor be entitled to create music and sell that directly to their fans? Unbelievable to me that you think they should be giving their own work away. Why? Because women shouldn't succeed on their own terms?
You are seriously deluded in your understanding of capitalism. Crack a book and educate yourself.
