Christmas Day is the worst followed by Halloween for me
I bet you love sucking the joy out of all holidays for those of us having a good time! If you don't enjoy Christmas then stay by yourself and stop trying to make other people as miserable as you.
OP here and I like Christmas Day a lot but this reaction is ridiculous. I started this thread specifically because I always pretend I enjoy Halloween, specifically because I don't want my distaste for it to negatively impact how my kids enjoy it (and they love it). But I just wanted to acknowledge that it's not my thing. How does that take anything away from it for you? It has nothing to do with you. And the PP not liking Christmas Day has zero impact on my own enjoyment of it. I'm sorry PP doesn't like it, but I always look forward to it -- just thinking about being cozy in my PJs with my family and how excited my kids will be about the gifts I'm already planning, and how DH always finds something he's really excited to cook and it will be fun to try that. And all of that will happen whether PP loves Christmas Day or not. So it doesn't impact me in the least. So maybe stop worrying about whether everyone else loves all the same things as you. It doesn't matter.
