We have invested in some decorations that fit in a single bin and re-use them each year. We gift old costumes in our Buy Nothing Group or hang on to stuff to re-use or for the dress up bin. Wish there was a way to tone down a bit on the candy, but it’s once a year. It’s really the fifty million tchotchkes that are killing me. Party goodie bags, even from school. Little trinkets in ToT buckets. I appreciate that people want to make things special for the kids, but it’s just so much overload.[/quote]
