Anything else other than mayor would be great. But since she can't rise any higher in the ranks (congresswoman, senator) DC mayor is the best gig she can get. We're stuck with her for a while.[/quote]

She'll serve out her term and then announce she's not running again. After laying low for a while she will join a K Street lobbying firm making seven figures, and her kid will suddenly leave her dcps school for a pricy private.

Every sitting DC Council member under the age of 70 will run to succeed her. Charles Allen will spent millions to finish 5th in the primary. Brianne Nadeau will finish behind Trayon.[/quote]

McDuffie likely wins and things continue their odd luxury housing + high crime combo, making the city simultaneously hard to afford and full of cookie-cutter plastic bars/restaurants yet rife with crime.

We need someone competent enough to look outside their inner circle for smart people.  Bowser's recent appointments and nominations have shown that her well ran dry a long, long time ago.  [/quote]
