I'm not entitled. I'd left my reading glasses at work, and I was having a ridiculously hard time reading the small print. I take full responsibility for forgetting the glasses and missing the signature. It's all my fault, not my kid's. But it didn't happen because I'm entitled.[/quote]

Then why didn't you send the child a note to give to the teacher telling her this,?  Only an idiot has one pair of reading glasses.

DP.  I've got lots of reading glasses for different places.  Most people do - that's why they sell them 2 or 4 at a time.  "Couldn't find my reading glasses" is on par with "my dog ate it".
