-My 7th grade teacher told me I'm a really good writer and that I speak with a natural voice. Always kind of stuck with me.
-A guy I was dating when I was in my twenties told me that I'm a funny writer and my writing style reminded him of Dave Barry.  I found that so flattering.
-I was relaying a story to my friend and she blurted out, "You're so funny. You always make me laugh." I love making other people feel good through humor, so that made me feel great. 
-My former boss told me that I'm the only she can always count on and that I'm the calming force on our team. I've since moved on from that job, but have tried to take those qualities into my next role.

And I'll leave you with this compliment, not about myself--when I was 16, I was working as a hostess in a restaurant with my BFF and a waiter, who must have been in his twenties but just seemed old to me at the time, said to me about my friend as she walks by, "She has an ass that would make grown men cry." I'll never forget hearing this as my friend waltzed on by conflicted with whether I should agree because he wasn't entirely wrong or get the hell out of there.
