I wish it also told how many questions they missed. So like if my kid has two "X" does that mean he missed two questions. Or is there zero correlation and that just means he missed all questions in that category? Or a certain number of questions in that category. Anyway, it doesn't matter I am just curious and have zero idea how many questions are on the AOL or how much each question is worth.
The SOLs are adaptive so there is not one set of questions that everyone answers. If a student misses some questions, they will be given easier ones which are not weighted as highly. So two students could miss the same number of questions but get different scores depending on whether they answered harder or easier questions.
