Funny, but years ago homework was between students and teachers. [b]Parents were never to be involved in the first place.[/b][/quote] It is also more recently that parents are stepping into their kids' lives to give them every advantage possible. Science fair is a great example. I taught at a high-SES school and at a low-SES school and the difference is obvious. Low-SES kids make popsicle stick bridges and high SES kids have their STEM parents telling them what to do and buying them GPU processors.[/quote]
