A party I went to this weekend had so many people standing around talking about the horrible stomach bug that had been going around their school the week before. And then others were chiming in about strep also circulating in the group. A couple people turned down alcohol because "still on antibiotics for that strep my kids gave me." I guess they thought it was okay to come since the kids were at the same school as the host family? My kids may have been the only ones at a different school and it was so hard to not grab them immediately and run for the door. So maybe I'll take your lead, op, when we have a big trip coming up.
Well, good news for you is the strep is no big deal as long as they’ve been on antibiotics for 24 hours. The stomach bug can shed via poop up to two weeks though. Hopefully all those kids are good hand washers!!
