I think you could say I don’t believe in XYZ but don’t *know* with certainty. I don’t think those are incompatible. I always liked saying I was agnostic because I figured it just meant I didn’t care. Religion and gods have no place in my life, is not something I think about regularly, and I simply don’t care what others believe. But in reality I’m probably closer to atheist than agnostic.
