I have no affiliation with this school but am now following this thread for amusement. So callous. It doesn’t bother you that many kids would have prepared for and anticipated it, perhaps had people traveling in to see it, and would be disappointed by a last-minute cancellation for no given reason? A PP posted something similar above about their child.

Nah, my kid actually is in chorus and I know how these work in elementary school.  You often can’t see your child, you definitely can’t hear them and spend longer parking and waiting than listening to the concert.  I would never tell my parents the date and have them sit through the elementary chorus concert.
