In the old system, 4 grades were averaged to get that grade. 1st quarter tests affected that final grade. In the new system, it’s one massive “quarter”. September tests still affect the end of year grade.[/quote] That’s absolutely ridiculous! Why should what you do in the first quarter impact all other quarters? Each quarter should be separate.[/quote]
