If you read ACPS's blurb on thier high school project website it's absolutely mind blowing what thier reasoning is for why it would be racist to have 2 or 3 high schools in Alexandria. They are comparing Alexandria to Alabama. Like the demographics of a widely diverse DC suburb is any thing like the demographics of deep south Alabama. I'm so glad that Hutchings is out, but it's time to move on from his crazy thinking that just because Alexandra's original high schools 80+ years ago  were racist we can't plan for the future.[/quote]
