You guys. I’m the tired poster- thank you all so much for the tips and encouragement. I had totally forgotten how helpful it is to get up and do 20 jumping jacks. I’m going to really try to keep that up in lieu of the sugar I crave when I’m tired. I don’t ever talk about weight loss or diet in real life (as much as I’d like an accountability partner!) so I just wanted to write here I’m so proud and excited because even though it’s been an absolutely exhausting and stressful week, I lost another pound. I have not seen these numbers on the scale in at least two years. I’m only down maybe 5 lbs total but it’s so exciting to see the numbers go the right way. I really hope I can keep it up.
5 pounds is awesome OP!! Congratulate yourself. Now you know what works, and you know you can stick to it even when life throws a lot your way. Keep chipping away slow and steady. I checked out the scale today while at the gym and saw numbers I haven’t seen since college! I’ve lost 30 pounds over the past 6 months and am going to shift into maintenance soon. The most challenging habit I’ve had to change is stress eating, or eating something quick (and unhealthy) on those busy days that are over-scheduled with work and kids activities.
