The academic rating is heavily based on what students bring INTO college with them:  their high SAT scores, their high high school GPA; their financial and emotional family support and mental health (to be able to stay in school and graduate within 6 years)

It is less based on what is actually expected of the students while they are at college.  I think it is a measure of something, but not really a measure of how academic a school is![/quote]
