I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.

He should have left that out. That part is trying to justify his actions. The rest is great PR. He meant what he said in his acceptance speech. He partied that night, unbothered. His team saw the backlash the next day  and pushed out the apology. His career is not over, but his new movie might need to go to streaming and if there are other stars in it, they should do the press.[/quote]
