I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.
I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.
I am a work in progress.
Sincerely,
Will So that part right there means the whole thing is insincere?

He apologized to Chris's mother, he apologized for the shame he brought to his family, he apologized to everyone that worked with him on King Richard. He said he understands that the damage to his relationship with Chris' brother is permanently damaged. I'm beginning to think some of you all didn't even bother to really read and listen to what he said. I get it if you think what he did is unforgivable, but some of you guys are saying he should have said blah blah blah, when he actually did say blah blah blah.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:His apology the day after it happened was sincere. In the 20+ years that he has been in the public eye, he has walked the line. I’s like to thing that this one moment in his life does not define who he is. Again grace! I am so happy that my mistakes, were not done on TV for the world to see.
If Mike Tyson can recover after biting off a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear, then so can Mr. Smith.
No, we are not defined by pur worst moments; but we should make sincere and immediate amends. Not just PR apologies.
After he received his Oscar and a standing ovation. Never mind that the other winners couldn't get the response they deserved for their hard work and efforts. Months later with a 35+ million paycheck in the works...needed to say a little more...
The entire apology was 4 paragraphs on how what he did was wrong, why it was wrong, and apologies to many poeple. he said why he did it in just a few words; it wasn't even one full sentence. Yet that's your only takeaway. He wasn't even defending himself, he was simply stating what caused him to react. He literally said it was inexcusable. I get it; no matter what he says or what he does it will never be enough. All that really matters is what Chris thinks.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:His apology the day after it happened was sincere. His apology the day after was not sincere. He was talking about acting to defend his family. No one in his family was threatened. He is trying to rehab his image for his upcoming movie. I'm glad Chris Rock is not engaging with him.
I think Will Smith's career will recover, but it is still too soon right now. He will need to lay low. He must have forgot he had another Oscar buzz movie coming out when he decided to be violent in front of an international audience.

Anonymous wrote:Guys- it’s all bc of the crazy cult they belong to. Scientology is behind a lot of the crazy. Remember Tom Cruise and Oprah’s couch? It’s what I thought of immediately after Will sapped Chris Rock. I think the male celebrities are getting fed some weird effed up toxic masculinity BS in Scientology and the result is that possibly closeted gay men in relationships with women end up doing some strange stuff.

He doesn’t get that he affected everyone watching. People did not come to the event or tune in expecting to see violence.

NP here. How could you possibly know this? Did she tell you personally? Have you seen her medical records?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I will never forgive them until Jada admits that she does NOT have autoimmune alopecia.
I have scarring alopecia and while I didn't know about Jada until that night, it was easy to look up posts that she had made earlier about her hair loss. While she doesn't seem to have total hair loss, alopecia areata is still difficult to deal with.
That doesn't have anything to do with Will Smith. However she deals with hair loss, or does not deal with it, his behavior at the Oscars is his behavior.
She has hair loss because she has worn extensions and tight ponytails for years. She does not have an autoimmune disease. Do you not understand that she is lying???
