Loudoun County was just hit with the mother of all lawsuits: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/jun/29/america-first-legal-lawsuit-loudoun-schools-child-/
How long will it take the Court to laugh that one out of the system?
They can if they choose. But it won't look good at all.
Frivolous lawsuits get thrown out all the time. Nobody pays any attention at all. The only people who will notice are people like you who have been duped by Ian Prior into believing LCPS is your boogeyman. Doubtful you even have kids in the system.
. Didn’t the DA try to ignore this once before? Kid has now been convicted because, of course, he attacked another girl after being secretly moved. Republican governor now, so clearly people paid attention.
From the article "alleged in a court filing that Loudoun County Public Schools, its superintendent and other officials have promoted secret gender transitions, distributed pornography and forced children to change in locker rooms with those of the opposite sex." That is very different then a law suit regarding a specific assault or harassment. Do you really think the court is going to accept a case based on the allegation of secret gender transitions, what does that even mean? LCPS is helping kids transition genders or forcing kids to transition without telling parents? LCPS is distributing porn? Where is the evidence that the county is promoting the distribution of porn? The lawsuit is a farce. If those 11 parents are so concerned that they are filing that type of ridiculous law suit, they should find a nice conservative private school or homeschool their kids.
We’ll soon see. The schools are indeed providing what they consider to be ‘safe spaces’ and encouraging transition behind parents’ backs. Same schools can’t even give a Tylenol legally. That’s not the school’s job. I had a teacher friend who had the arrogance to tell me that when kids get to her school, the parents have no more say re: their kids. Legally, that’s just not true.
You are such a liar lmaooooo. Absolutely no teacher said that. We don’t want to raise your kids. We absolutely want you to take responsibility for your kids. We raise our own and we teach yours - that’s it. Quit making stuff up on the internet, you’re too old for that and it’s embarrassing.
LOL. Indeed she did! You just don't want to face what's going on, I believe her exact words were "I don't go to your home to tell you want to do with your kids so don't come to our school and tell ME what to do". Legal guardianship and all that be damned. The problem with people like yourself is that all you have left is name-calling. And you teach people's kids? For shame!
A teacher saying parents don’t get to tell her what she teaches and what curriculum they’ll allow is not the same thing as her saying parents don’t get to have say over their kids at school. You’re a buffoon.
That is NOT what she was saying; she was talking about parental concerns about how she handles disciplinary matters. Let’s address your statements, because they are interesting. There would be no teachers or teacher salaries without parents paying taxes into the district. So yes, parents DO get a say and electing school boards that reflect their views is part of that. Problem is, a LOT of outside money from activist groups has started to pour into these elections and there are agendas as to why. https://thefederalist.com/2021/05/28/you-wont-believe-how-activists-pushed-loudoun-county-schools-into-critical-race-theory/ After the shameful way Loudoun County handled the brutal rape of one of their students, they are going to have a real hard time defending themselves, as will any activist lawmakers/judges that try to dismiss this case out-of-hand. I guess they never expected the rapist to offend again, and when he did, they were left exposed. All eyes are on this case now, nationwide, so any decisions made will have to be carefully considered. Parents are ‘woke’ now, to borrow a term thrown around too, well, liberally, nowadays. No doubt there will be a fight - power is never lost without one - but the army is larger now than it was back in 2019. Good luck.
