Why is this a bad thing? In upper NW you get some of the benefits of suburban life (quiet, family-friendly, SFHs, green space) and you're still close to DC offices, museums, restaurants, etc.  Lots of people actually want something between a Manhattan high-rise and an exurban McMansion

I wrote the previous post and completely agree with you. However, there seems to be a bunch of urban warrior wantabees here who try to make a big deal about how NW is not really urban.   I think they look silly and think they pursue distinctions where differences are not really there.  DC is what it is and I am ok with that as well. [/quote]
