Nope. Fast food has definitely gone insane. A regular meal at a KFC is now $13 plus tax. It used to be $8.

+1  I can pretty much afford to spend whatever I want or need to spend, and last night I still learned a financial lesson.  I had been at the hospital late, was driving home and realized I was starving.

I stopped at Subway for a footlong, a soda, chips and a cookie.  It was over $20.  That seems like an astounding amount to me.  I could have made the same sandwich in my kitchen for less than $5.
