Even three meals from Burger King cost us $32. Maybe these have been the prices there for a while (we rarely go), but I was a bit surprised.
Nope. Fast food has definitely gone insane. A regular meal at a KFC is now $13 plus tax. It used to be $8. Five Guys - I spent $50 on two people. 2 burritos and guac from Chipotle is now $30.
+1 I can pretty much afford to spend whatever I want or need to spend, and last night I still learned a financial lesson. I had been at the hospital late, was driving home and realized I was starving. I stopped at Subway for a footlong, a soda, chips and a cookie. It was over $20. That seems like an astounding amount to me. I could have made the same sandwich in my kitchen for less than $5. I'm glad I stopped at Subway because the sandwich was great and I was about ready to pass out from hunger, but I can certainly see how not everyone could afford that amount even once in a while let alone all the time. Over $20!!! That's crazy!
Tell me you're not from NY/NJ without telling me you're not from NY/NJ.
