[/quote] The wealthiest colleges have billions of dollars in their endowment funds, and they are among the worst offenders in capriciously cutting off scholarships for no discernable reason. I was at a Princeton alum event a few years ago when I was asked to make a donation toward that year's stated goal of raising a billion dollars. I passed on that opportunity.[/quote]
