You shouldn't expect favors at a wedding anyway, so anything extra is just a nice thought, even if it is engraved stuff (and no, I didn't give out anything engraved at our wedding), and it doesn't seem really nice to berate people over their choices of gifts to their guests. Maybe it is because I tend to go to weddings of only people I am close to, and most of the weddings of my friends were in the 90s, the time of Things Remembered and the engraving craze, but I like looking through my memory box and seeing the match boxes with names and dates on them, or the engraved champagne glasses. Whatever. My favorite favor, all that said, were these bags of candies I had not had before or since. I can't even describe them-but they were amazing! [/quote]
